media-source/cybersecurity/cybersafe/hero.* Problem
Cybersecurity advice is often technical, fear-based, or difficult to apply. The project focuses on practical guidance that community members can use confidently without sharing passwords, private messages, or sensitive personal data.
My contribution
I designed the workshop structure, translated security concepts into beginner-safe activities, developed participant-facing resources, and organized a public site explaining the workshops and their principles.
Approach
The workshop model is privacy-first, defensive-only, zero-fee, beginner-friendly, and transparent. Examples and activities are designed to build safer habits without shaming participants or demonstrating harmful techniques.
Evidence
Add workshop slides, posters, activity sheets, photos, booking materials, and verified impact measures.
Reflection
This work strengthened my ability to explain risk clearly, adapt technical material for different audiences, and balance accuracy with reassurance and practical action.
Outcomes
What changed
- Built a privacy-first, defensive-only workshop model.
- Created practical guidance around scams, account safety, response, and cleanup.
